The Latin American Association of Insurance Agencies was founded in Miami in 1969 to unite and serve as a voice for independent insurance agents. Today, it is a strong network comprised of members of various background and different roles in the insurance industry, including agents, insurance carriers and other firms.

As the association continues to grow, the Broward chapter was born on September 2010.  The LAAIA strives for an insurance environment to protect the rights of its members through education , information, networking and active participation in the political environment and community service for the benefit of the consumers.
